This research paper discusses the results of The National Survey of Nonprofit Governance and the Sarbanes-Oxley act. The survey from the Urban Institute gathered responses from 5,115 nonprofits of varied size, type and location and provides new insights into the potential impact of extending some provisions of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act to nonprofit organizations.
