Succession Planning Means Planning Ahead

Too often, she contends, boards conduct a rushed and disorganized job search during a crisis-driven circumstances, leading to a poor choice in their new leader. The time to rethink the requirements of the presidency or the chief executive position is before a crisis occurs.
